Private Villa, Greece 

 

A private client, approached the practice to design a new villa which would sit next to their existing villa on the Greek island of Skyros. The aspiration was to create an additional space that would feel that it was always part of the existing building. The vertical rhythm of the structure was continued across the site, around which the spatial volumes are arranged. The lightweight pergola threads the buildings together, while also grounding them and reducing their visual mass.
