In Dublin, Opsis has transformed a modest three-bedroom house into a functional and stylish home for a young family. The project involved a full refurbishment, substantial extensions, and a complete reorganization of the layout to meet modern living needs.
The centerpiece of the redesign is a rear extension with interlocking volumes, creating engaging internal and external spaces. A double-height dining area with a gallery above introduces light and scale, while a long visual axis from front to back enhances flow and connectivity. A versatile side office, with independent access, doubles as a guest room or annex. On the first floor, a master bedroom suite interlocks with bedrooms to create generous, functional spaces with built-in storage, blending comfort with minimalist design.
A textured render finish complements the minimalist aesthetic, while strategic glazing enhances natural light throughout. The design’s understated elegance balances functionality with timeless simplicity, creating a serene, adaptable environment.
This project transforms a traditional property into a contemporary haven, seamlessly combining style, function, and family-centric design. The result is a refined, light-filled home that reflects the evolving needs of its occupants.
